Recycled Decorative Jar
Learn how to take an old food jar and turn it into a decorative container using little craft supplies.
You’ll Need
- An old Jar (Clean)
- Glue (I used E-6000 for the Jar & Mod Podge for the Lid)
- Scissors
- Yarn (I used two different colors)
- Paper (The video shows paper from used old wrapping paper)
Instructions
- Start with a clean jar
- Wrap the yarn around the jar. Note: You can hold the yarn in place or secure with glue
- Secure the end of the yarn with glue then
go back to the bottom and secure the bottom rim with glue - Continue with the next color of string and repeat steps 2-3 twice.
- Use the lid of the jar to trace a circle on your paper
- Cut the circle out
- Glue the circle on the lid
- Optional Trim: Glue the yarn around the rim of the lid
