A Memorial Disney Land - PRO TIPS
I spent this past weekend with my Family in California. Bryan and I made a special trip to eat at the “secret” Club 33 Restaurant in Disney Land. We’ll leave that experience for last. (Blog Coming Soon) For this blog I thought I would give some tips to the Disney Fans.
Self proclaimed Disney Land Pro
Like most Southern Californians I had been raised on Fantastical Days spent at Disney Land. BUT In all my years I have never stayed at a Disney hotel. It always seemed unnecessary and over the top to stay the night. My family has always lived so close that the money didn’t seem worth it.
It’s been years since my parents have gone. So It may have been my parents mature age, or just the spoiled nature we have gained over the years that made our hasty decision to stay the night. Of course my mother doesn’t decide she wants to stay the night until the night before. So I called that morning and reserved a room at the Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa. Thank goodness for old people. Due to my dads old age we only had to spend a whopping fortune instead of a ridiculous fortune.
THANKS MOM AND DAD!

The hotel was great. Clever accents and small touches that Disney is famous for is every where. One of my favorite things was eating at the Story Teller Cafe. It’s always priceless to see your fiance being beaten with a fish and family photos with chip.

We had eaten there once before and had some of the best swordfish but nothing meats a pic. with chip.
SO, lets talk about those Disney Tips!
DISNEY TIPS FOR PROS
TIP MICKEY
DO Stay at the Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa. Its worth the money $280/night
TIP DONALD
DON’T expect light security. THINK AIRLINES except they call you princess after checking your bags. (BE PATIENT ALL YOU DONALD PERSONALITIES OUT THERE)
TIP PLUTO
DO Get in line for the best rides while half the park is distracted by fireworks. Most likely you’ll be able to see the fireworks from where you are but you won’t half to wait two hours for a ride.
TIP GOOFY
DO Remeber your parents are big ol’ kids and they’ll have a great time too.

i.e. mom, can you by me this
I was going through some photos and came across my recent trip to Big Bear and I felt I had to share my fiance’s butt with the world.
AINT HE CUTE | “Bryan’s Butt - 2008”
The sledding was too much fun. We could have spent $22 a piece to play in a gated off area but we decided that was nazi speak (watch video to understand) and we would take no part in it. So, we tracked up a mile off the freeway and found a great hill for me Bryan (butt upper left) and younger brother Raymond to play on.
My parents decided that the walk would be too far for them so they did what any parents would do and stayed at a lodge and drank. It was a great time
7 year Anniversary

It’s been almost two months since San Diego and I’m going through beach withdraws.
Bryan and I celebrated our seven year anniversary in San Diego. We decided to trade planning the trip to winging it for the three days we would spend there. In fact the whole trip we had only two plans. We planned our hotel accommodation and a stop by a Macy’s to pick up a discount pass for all of the participating Museums in the area.
Feb. was Museum month and so we got to partake in all kinds of discounts for every sort of Museum imaginable including some gardens.
We stayed at the Gaslamp Plaza Suites Hotel in the Gaslamp District.
It was phenomenal. The great customer service started before we had ever gotten there when I called to check on my room. The rooms used to be office suites so It was cool to stay somewhere historic and wonder about the history of the building.
It also came with a continental breakfast which in and of it’s self was nothing special but It was served on the roof deck making it very special.
The deck was also great at night. We had a great view!

Sea Port Village resident
We started our trip simply exploring and ended up at the sea port village, which we loved. And ate at a sea food spot out over the water. The shrimp and garlic bread was great but beware of glassless windows and man eating sea gulls.
We spent the rest of the trip using our discount passes, visiting places such as the Museum of Making Music and the Quail Botanical Garden which is now a forerunner in locations for our wedding.

We indulged ourselves in great food but the best by far was the Dakota Grill connected to the Gas Lamp Hotel. I’m a steak kinda girl but I must give the chicken devil his dues and say their chicken was the best chicken I’ve ever tasted. It made any steak I’d ever had taste like a hot dog.
Dinner was great.
The trip was fantastic. Letting go of planing relieved a lot of the stress of a vacation and made it a true get away.
Inspired By Grandma-Bracelet
Inspired By Grandma
I find inspiration everywhere.
This includes finding art in my sadness. My grandmother was recently hospitalized for her heart. I’m glad to say she is out now and doing well.
I spent as much time caring for her as I could during her hospital visit. It was hard seeing her so helpless but whenever my selfishness got the best of me and I became overwhelmed with sadness I would look into her eyes.
Her eyes were young and full of life, and in the center of her gaze was strength and comfort. I decided to take inspiration from that beauty while creating “GRANDMA”, one of my newest bracelets to the Precious Puzzle line.
1.) Like all of my projects I will keep a picture, or object in mind while conceptualizing my piece. In this case it was a list of key words: GOLDEN, CLASSY, NATURAL, BEAUTIFUL STRENGTH and a picture of my grandmother.
2.) I then choose a bead that I want my piece to focus around. In this case I choose crystals. I have to admit that most of the time I choose crystals. I think I might be obsessed.

3.) After I make my crystal choice I experiment with materials. Usually placing them together randomly to see how well they play together. Then I begin to organize them deciding on the length (7 in.) and the pattern.

The Grandma inspired bracelet is complete and I love it. I hope it reminds everyone of beauty and strength.

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
Today is Christmas Eve and we’ve just finished putting the bow on the last gift. For being a Christ like time of year, Christmas sure can be stressful. I think the stress is half the fun. It’s like getting ready for a big night out, and then wanting to go to bed after the primping rituals are over.
I’ve always believed that no matter what religion you are, or when you think Christ was born, no one could argue with the fact that Christmas is a time for family and caring. So no matter what Christmas means to you, if anything at all, we can all appreciate a time for kin. It is an excuse for family to be one and in this world of hurried chaos we need every opportunity to eat and be marry together. The presents under the tree or beautiful not because of the quantity, or glare from shiny technology but beautiful because of the face my mother and father have when their children open their presents. With every tear and every shake of the gifts, my father gets a smile on his face as big as the line waiting to get a new Wii. It’s the same face he gets when we take our first bite into his freshly cooked meal. Parents enjoy care giving, and thrive off of the knowledge that they are fabulous caregivers, and there children never want.
I can’t wait for tomorrow. When I, 22 years old, rush into my little brothers room and awake him, then run into my mothers room with a richly sweetened cup of coffee. We beg for everyone to get up, so we can open the shaken to death gifts, and then go back to sleep until dinner.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
